R&W Langley is proud to announce the addition of two new apprentice Quantity Surveyors to our growing team. Ashley Baker and Lily Foster joined us in November 2024, marking an exciting new chapter in our commitment to developing future talent in the construction industry.

Meet Our New Apprentices

Ashley Baker has already begun his academic journey, securing a place on the 2-year HNC Quantity Surveyor Course at Southampton University, which commenced in September. His early start demonstrates the drive and commitment that made him stand out during our selection process.

Lily Foster brings a unique perspective to the role, having recently returned from working and traveling in Australia from February through October 2023. She’s set to begin her HNC course in February 2025, bringing fresh insights and experiences to our team.

Professional Development Path

Both apprentices will benefit from a comprehensive development program that combines academic study with practical, hands-on experience. Their training will be overseen by our experienced team members, including:

Taylor Thomas, our Quantity Surveyor, and Richard Norman, our Contracts Manager, who will provide invaluable mentorship and guidance throughout their apprenticeship journey. This dual support system ensures our apprentices receive well-rounded training in both technical and professional aspects of quantity surveying.

These programs offer an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to gain practical experience while working towards professional qualifications.
