R&W Langley continues to demonstrate its versatility and expertise across diverse construction sectors with two significant projects: the West Moors Jerrican Preparation Shed for VIVO Defence Services and the Hampshire Homes S278 development works in Titchfield.
West Moors Jerrican Preparation Shed: Supporting Military Infrastructure
At the MoD West Moors Fuel Depot, R&W Langley is undertaking a crucial £3.2m project to replace an outdated facility with a new, purpose-built Jerrican Preparation Shed. This essential military infrastructure project showcases our ability to deliver specialized construction solutions in sensitive environments.
The new facility, with approximately 599m² of gross internal floor area, is designed to meet the specific requirements of Front Line Commands’ operational needs. The comprehensive scope includes advanced construction techniques incorporating Kingspan profiled metal roof panels and composite wall cladding. We’re implementing specialized installations including waste fuel collection systems and conveyor systems, alongside complete mechanical and electrical installations. The facility features anti-slip epoxy floor finishes throughout, sustainable drainage solutions connected to existing infrastructure, and seamless integration with existing utility supplies.
This project demonstrates our expertise in delivering complex facilities that demand the highest standards of safety and functionality within the military estate.
Hampshire Homes S278 Works: Enabling Residential Development
In contrast to the military infrastructure project, our £600k development for Hampshire Homes showcases our capabilities in residential infrastructure improvement. Completed in December 2023, this project focused on creating vital access infrastructure for a new 70-dwelling development on Southampton Road, Titchfield.
Working under strict traffic management requirements, our team successfully created a new entrance from the existing A27 Southampton Road. The project encompassed comprehensive drainage systems, illuminated road signage, and high-quality carriageway surfacing and road marking. All work was completed during restricted hours to minimize disruption to the local road network, demonstrating our ability to manage complex logistics while maintaining excellent standards.
The project’s success is evidenced by its formal adoption by Hampshire County Council, and we’re proud to announce that R&W Langley has been awarded the next phase of works in Titchfield as a result of our performance.
Demonstrating Versatility and Excellence
These two distinct projects highlight R&W Langley’s ability to adapt and excel across different construction sectors. Whether it’s delivering specialized military infrastructure or enabling residential development, our commitment to quality and efficient project delivery remains constant.
The successful completion of these projects showcases our technical expertise across diverse construction requirements and our ability to work within sensitive and regulated environments. Our commitment to meeting specific client needs, combined with excellence in project delivery, has led to repeat business opportunities. The projects also demonstrate our capability to manage complex logistics and timing requirements while maintaining the highest standards of construction.
As we continue to grow and take on new challenges, R&W Langley remains committed to delivering infrastructure solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
